Gynecological Care
Your comfort and health are our priorities
Cancer Prevention
Our Cancer Prevention Program is designed to provide the highest quality care for patients who are at increased risk of developing cancer. The more you know, the better prepared you are to take actions that can help reduce your cancer risk. Based on your family history, you may be a candidate for genetic testing to learn more about your risk of breast, ovarian, uterine, colon, or pancreatic cancer.
Cervical Cancer Screenings and Pap Smears
We follow national guidelines for Pap smears and utilize the most up-to-date liquid-based Pap smear collection medium with associated DNA testing for high-risk HPV.
Contraception
We offer a range of contraception options and counseling, including birth control pills, vaginal rings, injectables (Depo Provera), 3-year arm implants (Nexplanon), medicated IUDs (Mirena, Kyleena, Skyla, and Liletta), and sterilization.
Endometrial Ablations
Endometrial ablation is a treatment option for heavy but regular menstrual bleeding. Endometrial ablations are done at the hospital with anesthesia.
Endometriosis Management
Endometriosis is the growth of uterine lining cells outside the uterus, which can cause pain and be debilitating. Our team will listen to you, examine you, and recommend the best treatment for you.
Family Planning
Family planning involves being in tune with your own body and its cycle of fertility. We support families who use this non-interventional method of family planning.
Fibroid Management
Uterine fibroids are a common cause of heavy menstrual flow and pelvic pain. Our providers are experts in the medical and surgical management of uterine fibroids.
Hysterectomy
Hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, or any combination, depending on the indication for surgery.
Hysteroscopy
Hysteroscopy allows the physician to look inside the uterus, examine for polyps or other abnormalities, and take biopsies. These exams can be done in the office or at the hospital.
Hormone Replacement Therapy
If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: severe menopause symptoms, osteoporosis, sexual issues, back humps, depression, or loss of skin elasticity, you may be a candidate for hormone replacement therapy. This is a treatment used to augment the body’s natural hormone levels.
Incontinence
Leaking of urine or involuntary passage of stool is an all-too-common problem. We employ medications, physical therapy, and surgical interventions, including suburethral slings, to help with these conditions.
Menopausal Care
During pre-menopause, estrogen levels rise and fall uneventfully, which results in a range of symptoms until your period stops. A person is considered post-menopausal when they have not had a period for more than 12 months. Our team listens carefully to you and makes a treatment plan to help you feel your best as you go through this transition.
Menstrual Problems
Some women have severe pain or heavy or irregular bleeding with their menses. Our team listens carefully, evaluates you fully, and recommends medical and surgical options.
Minimally Invasive Surgery
Our providers are experts in vaginal and laparoscopic surgical techniques. Every surgery is tailored to the person; our providers will always recommend and perform the least invasive intervention for you.
Ovarian Cystectomy
Ovarian cystectomy is the removal of a fluid-filled growth on the ovary. It can usually be accomplished laparoscopically, but sometimes cystectomy requires opening the abdomen.
Pelvic Organ Prolapse
Pregnancy and childbirth are the biggest risk factors for pelvic organ prolapse, in which the bladder, uterus, intestines, and rectum bulge into the vagina. Pelvic organ prolapse is treated with pessaries (a supportive device worn in the vagina), physical therapy, and/or surgery.
Sexually Transmitted Diseases (Screening, Education, and Prevention)
Following national guidelines, all sexually active women ages 16–24 should be screened for sexually transmitted infections. Other women are screened based on risk factors and symptoms.
Vaginal Discharge
Vulvar and vaginal discharge, itching, irritation, and odor can result from yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, dystrophy, or other infections. If you have these symptoms, we need to examine you to be able to diagnose and treat you.
