Gregory Klis, MD

Dr. Klis graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1992. Following medical school, he entered an internship program at Butterworth Hospital. He completed his residency at Butterworth Hospital in 1996. After his residency program, Dr. Klis decided to try something new and moved to California. He worked for 2 years at Gould Medical Group in Modesto, CA. Soon after, he was recruited by Dr. Stoneburner and he joined San Dimas Medical Group in 1999.
Dr. Klis looked up to his mother, who was a nurse, and decided at an early age that he wanted to become a physician. He is passionate about helping people and fits right in with the style of medicine that it takes to specialize in OBGYN. In December of 2023, as he and his partners at San Dimas Medical Group decided to close the practice, Dr. Klis knew that he needed to continue to provide care for the women of this community that he has loved and served faithfully for over 24 years. He decided to open a smaller OBGYN practice called California Obstetrics and Gynecology Institute.
Family is very important to Dr. Klis. He spends most of his free time with his daughter, traveling to her cross-country tournaments and mountain biking races and going on vacations. He cherishes the time he gets to spend with his daughter. Dr. Klis enjoys collecting old antiques and Coca-Cola items, golfing, and fishing. He is an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and loves sports. Dr. Klis is also the owner and president of Skinsation, a local medical aesthetic center in town.

Rhonda Colvin, PA-C

Kristin Chisum, PA-C 

Kristin Chisum is a physician assistant who received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she attended Shenandoah University in Virginia, where she received a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. She has been in practice since 2009 in Bakersfield, CA.
Her decision to pursue a career in medicine was shaped at an early age. Medicine is in the family blood, and being a PA offers flexibility, autonomy, and, above all, the opportunity to make people feel better. She loves lifelong learning and is passionate about quality patient care.
She was married in April 2014 and her husband is an engineer. They have three children, who are 8, 6, and 4 years old. As a family, they love to travel and are avid sports fans.

Jenny Acosta, FNP-C

Jenny Acosta is a family nurse practitioner who received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from California State University, Bakersfield. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a labor and delivery registered nurse in the family birth center and became a school nurse. While working as a school nurse, she then returned to Cal State Bakersfield, completed her Masters in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022, and began to practice in primary care for underserved rural areas. Jenny’s passion has always been women’s health and is passionate about providing care for OB-GYN patients at California Obstetrics and Gynecology Institute..
She was married in December 2022 and had a destination wedding in Mexico. Her husband is a high school teacher and basketball coach. They are both family-oriented and love to travel to new places. They both like the outdoors and in their free time, they will bike ride around town.
